How do I get a prescription for medical cannabis?

Your family doctor or a private physician from our team can provide you with a prescription to obtain medical cannabis from Health Canada’s authorized producers. Whatever your situation, the SCM Clinic offers you full support throughout your process!

How to prepare for your first clinic appointment?

To open a file with us, you will need:

• Your up-to-date list of medications (your pharmacist can send it to us directly)
• A piece of photo identification
• Your medical diagnoses
• A referral from your doctor (not mandatory)

A first consultation at Solution Cannabis Médical is a time for dialogue and sharing. This educational, pressure-free meeting is designed to develop a treatment plan that best meets your needs. The plan will be sent to your treating physician with the prescription to be signed, or it will be shared with a physician from our team during the same appointment. We offer complete, personalized support to help guide your decision-making and care journey.

Good to know: A $50 fee applies for opening a file and for follow-up. If you consult with a private physician, an additional $200 fee will also apply.

During the educational session, we aim to cover various topics to help inform your decision-making:

• Education about medical cannabis
